In the Final performance test, the team only consumed around 161 Joule with 52.85 seconds. The energy consumption is considerably low, and the AEV moves quite fast considering it’s still under a minute. This was due to the materials and the design of the AEV which was minimalistic. Since the team only used very few materials, it saved a lot of the budget compared to the other teams inside the room. This also allowed the AEV to coast very easily, especially close to the end of the track. The team was expecting to add a servo to the AEV, which saves around 20-30 joules, but the time won’t allow for the team to redesign the AEV. In conclusion, the team is very optimistic and confident that the AEV will attract a lot of potential customers to consider to purchase and invest in the team’s project.
