This week’s lab was centered around brainstorming a design for the AEV. Brainstorming is a very important part of the creative process. It gives you a chance to explore different options for you project, and how each change could help or hurt the finished project. The first part of the lab was used to create a design individually. Each team member created their own design for the AEV. The main considerations for the design were weight, cost, and aerodynamics.
After each member of the team had made there own design, the group came back together to brainstorm as a group. Each member of the team shared his design, and explained its advantages and disadvantages. Once all the designs had been shared the team began working on a final design. The group design incorporated the ideas of each member. This final design will be used moving forward in the AEV project.
