Meeting Notes (04/05/17)
The team has met for the last couple of weeks in order to accomplish the objectives of the Preliminary Testing labs. Throughout the first week, the team spent their time testing the same code paired with two different AEV designs, and came up with a favorite design. During the second week, the group used that favorite AEV design to test different codes against each other. The group decided to test two main concepts of code. The first concept was using a code to get the AEV to coast to the gate, to the pickup point, etc. The second coding concept involved using powered braking in order to have the AEV come to a stop right where the team wanted it.
From the Preliminary tests so far, the team decided to use the HORIZONTAL design paired with a coding that uses a powered braking system to run the AEV. The team had trouble with some inconsistencies during week 2, and this is due to the battery and external sensors being inconsistent. Other than a few inconsistencies, the group has done a good job of performing the tasks necessary in the Preliminary Testing labs.
