The mission concept for the AEV project is that the galactic empire is rebuilding its army following the destruction of the death star. The alliance is preparing for war on remote planets and requires an Advanced Energy Vehicle (AEV) that can transport R2D2 units to where the interceptor aircrafts are being created. The AEV must be efficient, considering that power is limited on these remote planets, while not sacrificing consistency.
The Advanced Energy Vehicle (AEV) project goal is for students to design, program, test, and refine a vehicle. The vehicle will utilize a combination of an Arduino command board, a Li-Po battery, and propellers attached to motors to power the AEV around a single rail track. The process shares some resemblance a monorail except the AEV will hang down beneath the rail.
