Lab three’s main focus was creative design and its components. The creative design revolves around brainstorming and drafting designs to get a project going. The students were to take a short time between 10 and 15 minutes to come up with an idea for the AEV and draw it out on orthographic drawing paper. This process was then repeated with the group working as a whole to develop and design a functional body for the AEV. This lab provided the group with a base idea to work from and opened up the possibility of revisiting this stage in the process of creating the AEV should any problems arise with the design.
