Mission

Mission:

The purpose of developing and testing an AEV that meet the objectives and requirements that are stated in the Mission Concept Review (MCR) is transport R2D2 units in order to aid the rebel Alliance, from the movie “Star Wars”. The alliance must prepare for war on these remote planets by setting up a supply vehicle that runs along a rail system.

The AEVs must be: cost effective, needs to have enough power supply to run on any track handling extra weight of the cargo (R2D2 unit) and overall needs to ensure that the best possible vehicle is being used for the given task

Multiple designs must be tested in controlled environments so that data such as power used and speed can be measured and compared between the different iterations. Since the mission is being completed on a remote planet, energy efficiency will decide the success on the mission.

Team Goals

Team Goals:

-A Low weight design will improve speed and at the same time leads to less money spent

-High energy efficiency achieving the mission concept

-Develop Team Building Skills
