Today’s agenda is to discuss the first chip design, based on the observations made in the generic chip design. It was decided that different types of channels will be used for the four staging wells. The channels have different shapes and check valves. Two of them have curvy-shaped channels, while another two have straight channels, to examine the effects of channel shapes in the chip performance. There are two check valves chosen: fishbone and circular. The performance of the different check valves will be investigated to be implemented in the final design.
The team decided the person responsible for the Solidworks drawing and the calculations. Chan and Joe will work on the chip designs, while Julie and Syahidah will work on the Prelab.
