Concept Screening and Scoring

Criteria Descriptions:

  • Stability: The overall balance of the AEV. Is it tilted? Does it sway when it moves on the track?
  • Minimal Blockage: Amount of material used. Is it easy to attach the caboose as well as the magnet?
  • Maintenance: Minimal amount of work to rebuild it if parts need to be replaced.
  • Durability: Is the design strong? Is the base bending?
  • Safety: Are there any parts that are not secured that well? Does it run smoothly on the track? Does it follow all the safety requirements when it comes to the battery and Arduino placement?
