ITS Description

While upholding our mission we designed our ride-share program similarly to other commonly known ride-share programs. Our division focus specifically on college students who don’t have a reliable form of transportation on campus for distances too long to walk. With our product, students will be able to relieve the stress of having to spend high prices, or walk long distances even after taking a bus, or worry about being in unsafe environments.

We manage to implement 3 main things to make our company work: we plan to use unoccupied garage spaces, install communication towers in the garages, and install non-emergency towers around campus. First and foremost, on many college campus’s there are often many garage/parking lot spaces left unoccupied throughout any given day or night. We plan to use these extra spaces to store the vehicles we want to use to drive students to their desired locations. In addition to the parking spaces, we plan to install communication towers in each parking lot we use. The purpose of the communication towers are to notify drivers where and when  students need to be picked up and where to take them afterward. Lastly, the installment of our non-emergency towers will be used for students to request rides from our program. The student will walk up to the non-emergency towers and enter in their pick up & drop off addresses via a kiosk that will be attached to the tower. After that, a student will confirm their ride by swiping their student ID. Immediately after a ride is confirmed, a driver will be alerted and ready to pick up the student.
