Economic/Social Values

Implementing our mobile grocery store would impact both the economic and social aspects of the neighborhood(s) it’s in.

Economic Value

 Costs to start up:

  • Buying old bus to remodel
  • Hiring employees
  • Providing training and uniforms for the staff
  • Obtaining city permits
  • Seeking partnerships/contracts with local farms for their produce

Costs to maintain the grocery system:

  • Employee paychecks
  • Bus maintenance and fuel fees
  •  Steady supply of fresh produce

Revenue to make up for the costs:

  • Consumers frequenting the store
  • Ad banners displayed on bus for our sponsors
  • Small government subsidy due to our social impact

Social Impact

We save people time! People in poor neighborhoods often work a lot of hours to keep up with their bills, so having a grocery store closer than a gas station definitely would save time.

We improve the public’s health! By providing fresh produce which has more essential nutrients than the items commonly sold in fast food restaurants or gas stations, it enables people to eat healthier!

We decrease financial burdens! By aiming to stock cheap food, we’ll help our customers save more money, giving them more maneuver room for their budgets.

We connect people to their food! By sourcing the majority of our products from local farmers and businesses we give people piece of mind in knowing where and who their food products come from.
