In performance test 1, the group tested two different designs and compared which was better for completing the mission concept. The designs were each given a code that made it travel to the first gate and then stop. The data recorded by the Arduino was then uploaded and analyzed through the use of a MATLAB file. The results showed that design 1 used the most energy. When it accelerated to a higher speed, the AEV used much more energy and was less efficient than design 2. The second prototype went a lot faster with the same power provided over the same amount of time and was able to reach the gate when less power was provided than what was given to prototype 1.
