Lab 05: Design Concepts: Screening & Scoring

For this lab, a reference AEV design was constructed and used to run on the classroom track. This design was only a basic reference design and used to help the group get familiar with how the AEV runs on the track so the correct concepts will be used in our final design.

The next part of the lab was to conduct concept screening and scoring on the reference AEV. This is a new concept to the group which helps to find issues in the design and make decision on what changes need to be made. Some topics that were covered in this Screening and Scoring were aerodynamics, balance (both left to right as well as front to back), cost efficiency and durability.
