First Rough Redesign

This is the first redesign of the AEV, coming once construction of the original AEV began. Certain design oversights became apparent during construction, which resulted in some additions to the original design.

Final Redesign

This redesign is based upon the rough one created. After looking at the length of the drive track, the team decided to shorten the entire AEV, using a single arm, a smaller base plate, and a more balanced construction.

Wheel Design and Progression

The initial wheel design. It is rather basic with some minor weight reduction in order to make it more efficient.

An alternate wheel design that was proposed. It deals with possible coupling issues with the motor, and adds some additional grooves for traction aids to be added in response to the track.

The second design was scrapped, and the first design was then improved upon, removing dead space on the inner wheel, while thickening the area to prevent any breaks from torque while in motion.
