Lab 11 – Performance Test 4 (Final Testing)

The performance tests were independently run by the team. The first performance test was focused around the testing of two designs to see which one was more efficient. The second performance test was finding the most efficient and consistent code. The third performance test was preparation for the final test, and numerous practice runs to ensure consistency. From the performance test one, the best design was developed by changing the wing size to reduce the weight. Performance test two utilized a code that had the AEV coast to destinations to reduce power usage. Performance test three ensured consistency between runs. After performance test three, the team had an idea to use a servo-motor as a brake, touching a piece of rubber to the rail to stop the AEV when commanded.

The figures below will be the graph of the power being compared to the time of the final run along with the final testing scoresheet respectively. The graph from the previous lab was used and compared to this graph in order to see which design used less energy. The graph below used a total of about 233 J as listed in the final testing scoresheet. lab 11graph
