Performance Test 1 was used to weed out whichever AEV designs were not as efficient as the rest. By the end of the performance test, there should have been only one design to continue testing.
The group created one Arduino code which was used across all of the various AEV designs. The AEV then ran a portion of the track and its respective data was recorded in the AEV analysis tool on MATLAB. Using this tool, the various designs could be paired side by side to determine which one was the most energy efficient.
