This lab allowed for each team member in the team to become familiar with the MatLab based design analysis tool that was used to present the Advanced Energy Vehicle’s data. Each team member was able to transfer the EEPROM data collected by the Arduino into MatLab and then into the design analysis tool.
The design analysis tool was essential for future development of the AEV. This tool was able to calculate the total energy collected by a run. It also allowed for the team to recognize which phases of the Arduino code used the largest amount of energy. These phases could be targeted in order to reduce the overall energy consumption of the AEV.
