Executive Summary
The second round of system analysis was quite similar to the first round. The only difference was that in addition to calculating supplied power and energy, the team also had to compute the distance traveled by the vehicle, it’s kinetic energy, and two new factors called the propeller advance ratio and propulsion efficiency. Figure 1 below shows the phase breakdown of the supplied power, velocity and kinetic energy of the vehicle as a function of the distance travelled.
