The objective of this project was to create an AEV to travel from remote planet with limited resources and energy. This AEV should be energy efficient as the Mission Concept Review (MCR) states because there is limited amount of power available. The AEV has to go from the starting point and stop before the gate for 7 seconds, travel to pick the R2D2 unit and wait for 5 seconds, travel back and stop before the gate for 7 seconds, travel back to the starting point and stop at a specific spot. The AEV has to be well-balanced to be able to carry R2D2 unit all the way back and to make the AEV will be safe throughout the whole run. Also, teams were asked to make sure that the AEV performs consistently in different environments or tracks
