The Arduino Programming Basics Lab allowed the students to use the Arduino Integrated Development Editor (IDE) software and learn the syntax of the Arduino programming. In programming the Aduino, the students will familiarize themselves with the use of basic function calls. This knowledge is integral for the Advance Energy Vehicle (AEV) project, as proper Arduino programming are required to operate the AEV, so that the AEV can complete each scenario that will be tested by the end of the semester. Through this lab, not only the students could learn the basic foundation of programming that will be useful as the program becomes more developed and complicated in future labs, the students also learn how to troubleshoot problems in coding. This knowledge is needed to ensure the success of the AEV run. See executive summary below for more details of the lab.
