Lab 03 – Concept Screening and Scoring
The Concept Screening and Scoring Lab allowed the team to select important criteria in which the different AEV designs would be compared. The sample AEV was given as a reference, and concept screening and scoring matrices were utilized to finalize which two designs would be selected to continue on in the AEV design process. The team rated each AEV design from Lab 1 using the concept screening scoresheet and then the designs with the highest scores continued on to be rated using the concept scoring matrix. Also, this lab also allowed the team to become more familiar with Arduino programming, for another scenario was presented to the team and they had to successfully program the AEV to complete this scenario on the track.
