      Today we went to the Ramseyer Hall to attend the lecture of the future of higher education in the United States of America by professor David Staley who the professor in the department of History at the Ohio State University. In this lecture the professor talked about the future of higher education in the United States of America, at the beginning of the lecture Chris gave the attendances brief definition about professor David Staley.

     Professor David talked in this lecture about several things. He talked about the US average spending per student: in 2012, the states paid $ 5,906 and the student paid $ 5.189. He exposed a lot of information about the Online education and the future of this kind of education in the world even in America. He gave many examples to show us the history of the future of the higher education in the united States even in the world.

     I was really interested in this lecture. In my opinion I think the future of higher education in the world is the online education, but this transformation from the traditional education to the online education will face a lot of challenges to be successful and widely used in the world.

My favorite place on campus is Ohio Union. I saw this place the first time in the summer. I like this place because when I want to feel calm or relaxed I go to Ohio Union. Also if you go to Ohio Union you will see all people from all countries. If you want to speak English with other people you can go there. Ohio Union has restaurants and coffee with places to sit and eat. Restaurants in Ohio Union made a delicious food moreover it made food fits all people like a halal food I think this it’s amazing. In second floor of Ohio Union there many seats on a wonderful view ,often it be calm and quiet. Sometimes Ohio Union is organizing shows for new movies free. And other a distinctive activities.

I have been to China.I have lived in China.I have not visitied the Honkong Disney land.I have eaten Chinese beef noodle.

I borrowed the book “USA’S BEST TRIPS”  because I will take trip on Thanksgiving Day. I want to go to Niagara Falls. I will visit to Canada, I can’t forget the sign of I-20.

I want to consider this plan, and I’m looking for other place. Also I want to go to Grand Canyon, and Yellowstone but there are far.

I attended Lecture: “The Future of Higher Education” by Dr.Staley. It was a good lecture and he is spoken slowly and I can understand him.

The first thing he talked about (easily repay) everyone can repay from where his place, he can repay from his phone and computer.

The second thing he talked about it, the Unemployed because he wants to encourage the attends to complete studying. some people when they finished their high school they goes to work like (starbucks,Mcdonald’s..etc) they don’t care about their life.

The Third thing he was talking about the study by online, some universities teach their students through online. In my opinion the teacher he must come to class and teach his students because if a student have problem how can he understand without teacher? a student he wants someone to explain about his problem and teach him the true. Fortunately Dr.Staley agree with my opinion, this thing makes me happy. Finally it was a nice day with Dr. Staley and I like what he does when he Lectures and what he thinks.

My favorite place on campus is: Recreation and Physical Activity Center (RPAC)

The RPAC is a very fun place. I usually get at least two hours a day doing physical activities and sports such as basketball, ping-pong, tennis and so on. Sundays I play soccer in the playground outside.

The infrastructure of the RPAC is huge and has many professionals serving students, as well as various activities such as competitions and  fight classes.

I called the owner of the car I found on the Internet, but the car already sold out. And I called the insurance company to know the car insurance fee.

I wrote the business report for September, but it is not completed yet. However I drank beer on the bar, and I did coin game after break to coin.

           On Sunday October 5th, I did more things in english. At morning, I went with my friend to find new apartment to him. We went to Commons Apartments that is close of Target market on Olentangy river road. It was a partner styles which is he will live with roommates.  We found a lot of choices for him to choos of them like how many rooms and bathroom in an apartment. Also, We asked  for who is roomate and what is thim majors . We discussed about it, what is the advantages and  disadvantages to live there. In the last, He decisioned  to live there. I hope  for him to spend a great time on his new apartment.

          In this day, I went to a new places to visit it in Columbus. I went to Sam’s Club that was a big market. It is a famous market in United States. Sam’s Club sells most of its merchandise in bulk and directly off pallets. The product was a huge. Product sold include electronics, food, meats, tire and Battery, Bakery, Optical and Cafe. It was inexpensive and wonderful market.

          At night, I finished my homeworks and read something intense in english. I studied some of grammars in english and listened to some news on NPR channel to improve a listening in english.I made a new plan to study english to improve my language in a future months. My weekend was nice and I had more benefits especially in learning english.

Sunday, October 5

Hello, today I will write how was my weekend. On Friday night I went to a Jazz presentation at Wexner center. It was amazing and the music is pretty cool.

On Saturday morning, I went to a plantation of apple with my roommate. It was very fun and I met two American guys. I could communicate very well with them, I feel I’m improving my speech.

On Saturday afternoon I went with my group conversation in short north gallery hop. walked by many cool shops and talked a lot in English.

On Sunday I went with my Brazilian friends in two stores, Burlington and TJ-maxx, there we bought some jackets for the winter.
