Meeting 1:
Date: 1/23/2019
Time: 12:00pm, face to face
Members: Hannah, Jeremiah, Sydney, James
Objective: The main focus of this meeting was to decide how was wanted our AEV to be designed (weight, where we want the propellers to go, width of the project and how air resistance will come into effect with our design), as well as who will be doing what part in the lab (coding, designing, etc).
Tasks completed:
- Coded exercise 1
- Began assembling the foundation of the AEV
- Determined which pieces wanted to be used to minimize air resistance of AEV
- our roup began o dig into the project and learn the basics of the coding that will be needed to control our AEV as well as the parts given to us and which pieces will makes our AEV light and hand the least amount of air resistance so not as much energy will be needed to move the AEV when it comes to the final testing
Tasks to complete:
- Assemble the basic parts of what our AEV will look like and create the foundation of the project (James)
- Code the tasks that need to be completed/assigned (Hannah and Jeremiah)
- Help James with the design of the AEV and ensure that all the proper requirements (enough spacing between the battery and the circuit board, etc) are done properly (Sydney)
Decisions:
- Decided as a group on who was going to do what
- Decided as a group on how we wanted to build our AEV foundation and on the basis of being light and the least amount of air resistance
- Decided as a group that we were going to use the parts given to us and not 3D print anything
Reflections:
- There was confusion at first on how to get the Arduino Controller working and set up in the desktop
- Teammates were a bit hesitant as to talking and giving out ideas on how to get into the project design
- Teammates need to talk more to one another to ensure that we are all on the same page and okay with changes or how the AEV should be designed
