U.S. Embassy
While on the walking tour of Berlin we passed the American Embassy. This particular building on the street looked moderately sized, but once we went around the corner we saw how large the building actually was. Our tour guide Rachel, who is technically an American citizen, explained to us that she has never been inside of the embassy and that she is not even allowed to go in it. When getting her passport renewed she has to go to a different building. Rachel also shared that the U.S. originally wanted to expand the building forward (Berlin told them no) and that it has the most security of all of the embassy’s in Berlin.
