After that, Anthony went with most of the group to KDW, a large shopping complex for lunch and seeing German goods and culture.

Matt and John, on the other hand, needed to exchange money and ended up not far from the Berliner Stadtschoß, one of the places we wanted to see. Getting there involved a stop at Hausvogteiplatz, possibly the quietest part of Berlin, and an area that we latter learned was flattened in the war.

The entire class met at Gesundbrunnen for the Unterwelten tour. For dinner, the students went to Zur Letzten Instanz, Berlin’s oldest restaurant, where Napoleon once sat.

We finished our sightseeing for the day at the top of the Fernsehturm, where we took pictures of Berlin at night.
