During Performance Test 1, the team used the second team design(shown below). The group received a perfect score of 16 for the first PT1 run. Before the run, the team improved the AEV’s stopping distance accuracy by repeatedly collecting data on the track. The large collection of data improved the consistency of the stopping distance to a difference of 5 marks. Since 5 marks is below the 15 marks error limit, the performance test was successful. The decreased weight from SolidWorks Simulations also contributed to the low energy consumption for the AEV.
