Executive Board

Wendy Kristell, President

4th year Political Science major

4th year in Empower Mentoring

My biggest goal this year is to build new, stronger connections with our mentees. I look forward to bringing the students back to campus with our annual field trip and getting to know who they are, what they’re interested in, and what we can learn from each other.

Rachel Waltman, Vice President

3rd year Social Work major

3rd year in Empower Mentoring

I’m excited to watch the club grow and become a place where mentors and mentees can connect and share experiences. We have a lot to learn from one another, and I’m hoping we can incorporate all of our amazing members into a unique and diverse club that teaches high schoolers some of the things we wish we knew sooner!

Adam Frierson, Treasurer

4th year City and Regional Planning major

3rd Year in Empower Mentoring

My goal for this year is to get the mentees more involved and really help and answer any questions that they might have, using my experience as a senior in college to help guide them in the best direction for each of them.

Siddarth Dasaraju, Operations Chair

4th year Biology major

4th year in Empower Mentoring

My goals for the academic year include making sure all our members are comfortable mentoring in their respective groups, and feel both prepared and confident in teaching lessons to our mentees. I’m most excited about getting back in the classroom and using more engaging activities to leave a lasting impact on our students.

Bryce Fluker, Recruitment and Retention Chair

4th year Marketing major

3rd year in Empower Mentoring

My goal for this year is to continue to build a strong, trusting relationship with my mentees. I’ve had people who are older than me give me guidance and advice over the past few years, and I’m looking forward to passing down the things I’ve learned over the course of my journey.

Jo Scott, Mentoring Chair

4th year Health Sciences major

2nd year in Empower Mentoring

My goal for this year is to increase mentee engagement and build influential relationships with our mentees. I want our mentees to know that college isn’t the only answer and that their options after graduation are endless.

Klarke Griffith, Chief of Staff

3rd year Philosophy, Politics, and Economics major

2nd year in Empower Mentoring

My goal for this academic year is to truly leave my mark on OSU through the relationships I build and the people I encounter, leaving a lasting impression, “ that your extraordinary existence is enough!”

Shabrya Smith, Marketing Chair
