Paige Emmelhainz BSN, RN
Hello, my name is Paige Emmelhainz and I was born and raised in Grove City, Ohio; a suburb just south of Columbus. I currently live in Grove City with my husband of 4 years and my 2.5 yr old. We are excited to be adding a little girl to our family in June.
I received my Bachelors of Science from Mount Carmel College of Nursing. Throughout Nursing School I worked as a Patient Care Assistant and a Secretary in the hospital. As a Secretary I worked in the Newborn Intensive Care Unit where I fell in love with caring for newborns. My colleagues became my second family while working with them for 6 years. After I finished Nursing School I began working as an RN in the NICU. I was there for 4 1/2 years and some days I really miss taking care of the newborns. In the summer of 2019 I decided to accept a School Nurse position in the school district I grew up going to school. This change has really helped to create the work life balance that I was struggling to find working rotating shifts, weekends and holidays at the hospital. I have always had a love for children and at one point wanted to be a Teacher. I felt that becoming a School Nurse would also help fill the desire to be a teacher.
I am currently in my second year as Nurse in the School setting and it’s been very challenging with a pandemic. While it has brought many new challenges, I have enjoyed working with the children and I have quickly learned there is more to School Nursing than everyone thinks. I look forward to continuing my career as a School Nurse for years to come.
