Upcoming SCiL paper

Grace LeFevre’s SCiL paper, “Formalizing Inflectional Paradigm Shape with Information Theory” (with Andrea Sims) has been accepted! Grace is still an undergrad, but this is very impressive work and I’m glad to see it published.

Accepted at CoNLL 2020

Cory Shain’s joint paper with me, “Acquiring language from speech by learning to remember and predict”, has been accepted at CoNLL 2020. We’ll post the revised camera-ready version soon!

Two papers at SCIL 2020

Looking forward to SCiL 2020 in New Orleans, where we’ll be presenting two morphology papers: David King’s work on error analysis in sequence-to-sequence models for Russian (with me and Andrea Sims), and a joint project with Martha Johnson, Stephanie Antetomaso and Andrea Sims on features that encourage or discourage the development of morphological fusion.
