Additional Experience (Amy’s Donuts) 10/10 recommendation:

Another experience that I went on was to a place called Amy’s Donuts. Fun fact: I actually do not like donuts but with the endless options of donuts I had no choice but to just taste one. That might’ve been my favorite experience because I had no idea where my friend was taking me so I was definitely in for a surprise. I was able to see a bit of what’s outside of both campus and Short North. This project has not only forced but allowed me to enjoy what the city of Columbus has to offer. It’s very easy to get wrapped up in what’s going on on campus, but I have grown to understand the importance of venturing out and making new memories in the city that we now call home.

Artifacts #2

I chose these pictures because this was the first time that I actually got a chance to hangout with my team outside of practice. We were at the student-athlete game where we got to walk on the field with all of the other teams. Ever since then I have been able to develop special bonds with each of every one of the people I got to go through this experience with. I love football so having the opportunity to walk on the field and to see the stadium from the football players point of view was unforgettable. This experience is what also gave me the drive to seek out special opportunities that not everyone can get. This contributed to my drive to work hard to receive special rewards that are significant to myself.

Local Food Favorites Theme:
Rocket Fizz: 10/10 recommendation
With being the queen of sweet tooth’s, I knew right away that I would love Rocket Fizz. From the endless—and somewhat disgusting—soda flavors to the wide array of taffy options, there’s no reason to walk out of there empty-handed. And, if your favorite American candies can’t fulfill your sugary needs well then you have a fantastic section of popular international candies as well. I’ve actually been to Rocket Fizz a few times and every visit comes with new surprises. On my last trip there I actually found a bunch of candy that I used to eat as a child which brought back a ton of fun memories. The employees are very informative and fun as well. I’d highly suggest for anyone to stop by there, even if they don’t want to buy goodies—although that’d be almost impossible.

NorthStar: 9/10 recommendation
NorthStar is definitely a great place to visit. Their décor is what first won me over. I tried their banana pancakes just to venture out of my comfort zone. I FELL IN ABSOLUTE LOVE! If I had the room in my stomach to order more I definitely would have. The servers were more than helpful. We actually got there right before they closed and the server still helped us choose great foods and didn’t complain one bit. I definitely would recommend going to NorthStar.

Mikey’s Late Night Slice: 9/10 recommendation
After hearing about Mike’s from a friend that goes to Kent State, it was only right for me to try it out myself. The vibe of Mike’s was amazing. Although I didn’t eat any pizza the smell was enough. I didn’t talk to any employees but they were very welcoming. The scenery was unbeatable. I would definitely recommend stopping by for a slice of pizza with some friends on a Friday night.

Artifacts #1

I chose this picture because it represents the most important day of my life thus far. Graduating from high school represents the determination and perseverance within me. Although this may appear to be a small achievement for those who feel like you’re supposed to graduate, this was still a big deal for me. Completing this allowed me to physically and mentally prepare myself for the next chapter of my life. Speaking at my graduation helped me see how important it is for me to stand out. I don’t like to be “one in the same.” Getting the opportunity to be a part of the few students who got to be noticed at graduation helped me see value in putting myself in positions to become a leader and seek special opportunities, which I still do a lot of today.

About Me

My top 5 strengths turned out to be–with no surprise–Activator, Acheiver, Command, Restorative, and Communication.

The Connection:
Activator- I have a very direct approach to everything that I do. I often become competitive trying to make ideas happen in the best way possible, while holding myself up to very high standards.

Acheiver- I am highly motivated when I am deemed as the best or number one, which is why I take running track very seriously. I also enjoy the feeling of being productive as it gives me the feeling of having a purpose.

Command- I tend to be very realistic in my advances. I calculate my every action in order for me to obtain the most success.

Restorative- I am on a continuous path of setting goals for myself. I always find a way to learn from mistakes so that they won’t happen again. I enjoy the action of problem-solving.

Communication- I can remember every single parent-teacher conference that I attended as a child, and all of my teachers having the same thing to say about me: “She’s a social butterfly.” I look forward to always exchanging ideas and gaining insight from others. I enjoy company whether it be from a close friend or a stranger. Speaking is one of my strong suits as an individual.
