Artifacts

[Artifacts are the items you consider to be representative of your academic interests and achievements. For each entry, include both an artifact and a detailed annotation.  An annotation includes both a description of the artifact and a reflection on why it is important to you, what you learned, and what it means for your next steps.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. Year in Review

[ “Year in Review”  is where you should reflect on the past year and show how you have evolved as a person and as a student.  You may want to focus on your growth in a particular area (as a leader, scholar, researcher, etc.) or you may want to talk about your overall experience over the past year.  For more guidance on using your ePortfolio, including questions and prompts that will help you get started, please visit the Honors & Scholars ePortfolio course in Carmen. G.O.A.L.S.

  • Global Awareness: I plan on joining (and possibly running for board positions) cultural clubs related to my arab culture and other cultures to explore new traditions and diversity. Also, I want to study abroad for two weeks to be exposed to a new culture first hand and have a meaningful experience overseas.
  • Original Inquiry: I plan on doing research sophomore year and continuing it throughout my years at OSU and possibly beyond. I may do an internship if I minor in business so that I can really benefit from my minor, as long as it doesn’t take away from my major requirements and academic performance.
  • Academic Enrichment: I plan on taking rigorous course work that will challenge me, but also not be too stressful and take away from my extracurricular activities. I also want to take classes in subjects that I am not familiar with to broaden my knowledge and interests.
  • Leadership Development: I want to run for the board of a club/organization and have active and consistent roles in clubs such as Refuge and MSA. However, I also want to explore new opportunities. I am also interested in starting my own club/organization in my second or third year.
  • Service Engagement: I want to consistently go to the MY Family food pantry on Saturday mornings and consistently volunteer at a hospital or free clinic. After a while I want to have a leading role in the service opportunities that I am involved in.

Career
