2024 EHE Research Forum

The 2024 EHE Research Forum was held Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 8am-3:30pm. Once again, it was be held in the Ohio Union.  This yearly event featured over 100 presentations by researchers across the college!

Dorinda J. Gallant, Associate Professor of Quantitative Research, Evaluation and Measurement in the Department of Educational Studies in the College of Education and Human Ecology, and the Director and co-PI of The Ohio Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation

Dorinda Gallant, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Quantitative Research, Evaluation and Measurement in the Department of Educational Studies in the College of Education and Human Ecology, and the Director and co-PI of The Ohio Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation (LSAMP)—a National Science Foundation-funded alliance of 10 community colleges and four-year institutions across the state of Ohio. Under her leadership, the Ohio LSAMP received the 2021 Distinguished Diversity Enhancement Award from The Ohio State University’s Office of Human Resource and Senate Diversity Committee for its diversity efforts. Dr. Gallant’s career as an educator began over 30 years ago as a middle and high school mathematics teacher in South Carolina. Over the past 18 years, Dr. Gallant has been mentoring and preparing the next generation of educational statisticians and assessment and evaluation experts. Her background and experience in applied measurement positioned her to serve on state and industry technical advisory committees to provide technical support and guidance on its testing programs. Fundamental to her research interests in assessment and program evaluation in K-12 and higher education is applied measurement in education. Beyond the academics is a commitment to service to her community. Dr. Gallant is a Life member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
