A SELF-REGULATION BASED EXERCISE INTERVENTION ON EXERCISE ADHERENCE IN ADULTS ENROLLED IN A FACULTY AND STAFF FITNESS PROGRAM AT OSU

The purpose of the RCT study is to implement self-regulatory behaviors that enhance participants exercise adherence within a faculty and staff fitness program at OSU. Participants meet one-on-one with a trained program staff member one day a week over a 6-week period to plan and utilize specific self-regulation strategies with a 12-week follow-up.

DIFFERENCES IN THE CONTENT KNOWLEDGE OF THOSE TAUGHT TO TEACH AND THOSE TAUGHT TO PLAY

It has been hypothesized that specialized content knowledge (SCK; knowledge of instructional representations, tasks and errors) is not acquired through experiences in sports or physical activities. This study examined the SCK of students enrolled in university physical education basic instruction and pre-service teacher education classes.

WHAT CONTENT SHOULD BE TAUGHT TO COLLEGE STUDENTS IN THE BEGINNING TABLE TENNIS CLASS?

The purpose of this study is to identify the techniques and tactics that are appropriate to be taught to college students in table tennis at the beginning level. The methods used in the study include two steps: videos watching and expert ratings. Eventually, five techniques and five tactics are identified.
