Understanding Single Subject Design Methods In Basic And Applied Settings
Abstract: Single Subject Design (SSD) is an experimental design that utilizes baseline logic as experimental reasoning to demonstrate the effects of the independent variable on the dependent variable. In SSD, repeated measures allow the individual to be his own control and uses direct measurements of the living organism’s activity as its unit of analysis.

Title: Teaching Third Graders At-Risk And/Or With Mild Disabilities Self-Questioning Strategies Using Prompt-Fading: A Pathway To Reading Comprehension
Abstract: Self-questioning with fading prompts is examined as a way to support 3rd graders in comprehending expository text. The development of metacognitive (e.g., monitor understanding of text) and inferential comprehension skills does not develop naturally. We propose to examine the effectiveness of explicitly instructing 3rd graders to self-question. Contact: lopesrizzi.1@osu.edu
