Project Abstract: In the proposed study, we aim to examine the effects of Spark on an array of cognitive functions, physical performance, and mood in men and women. These properties will be further tested under conditions of normal sleep and restriction, where Spark may provide distinct benefits as compared to a placebo or caffeine alone. In order to explore the neurophysiological underpinnings of improvements in cognitive and physical performance, we will also examine localized and global changes in brain activity before and during cognitive and physical tests.
