On Wednesday, March 22, 2017, the Office of Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement featured speaker Dr. Leigh Patel from Boston College in a celebration of women.
We also presented women from across our community with awards, who have proven their engagement and excellence with respect to equity, diversity, inclusion, and community engagement.
The awardees were:
- The June Jordan Award will be given to Dr. Leigh Patel
- Susan La Flesche Picotte Award will be given to Lauren Salamone, Kia McKinnie, and Kelly Crawford
- Mary McLeod Bethune Award will be given to Noelle Arnold and Michiko Hikida
- Gloria E. Anzaldúa Award will be given to Alice Ragland and Yanty Wirza
- Grace Lee Boggs Award will be given to Rhonda Johnson and donna Hicho
