Academic Advisors
Academic advisors are available to help students make informed choices for their academic career and link students to university resources offered on campus. Academic advisors can help with:
- Degree Planning
- General Education Curriculum
- Scheduling Questions
- Academic Performance
- Petitions/Grade Forgiveness
- Non-academic Support
Academic advisors encourage our students to assume responsibility for their education and support students in developing planning and decision making skills. It is your responsibility to schedule regular appointments with your assigned advisor, check your OSU email daily, and know university and college policies.
Please note, it may take 1-2 business days for an advisor to respond to your email. During busy season, responses may be closer to 3-4 business days. We encourage you to plan accordingly, and we very much appreciate your patience.
Schedule An Appointment
We recommend meeting with your academic advisor at least once per semester. Academic advising appointments are 30 minutes each. You can make an appointment with your advisor by visiting OnCourse or calling our office at 614-292-9261. Appointments cannot be made via email.
Express Advising
Express Advising is first-come, first-served drop-in advising, no scheduled appointment needed. This 15-minute or less appointment is ideal for quick questions or schedule adjustments. Express Advising has an in-person and an online option. Express Advising is only offered in Autumn and Spring semesters.
Autumn 2024 Express Advising is every Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00PM-4:00PM.
Stop by in-person in Suite A100 in the PAES Building, or join on Zoom using this link.
Your Assigned Advisor
You can find your assigned advisor listed in your Buckeyelink account or in OnCourse. If you do not have an assigned advisor listed, you will need to call our front desk to schedule an appointment.
