Awards and Honors

Alyssa Ciango and Samuel Shallenberger were recipients of the 2021 Student Life Leadership Awards Outstanding Graduate/Professional Student Award.

Presentations

Shay Valley presented “Trans and Gender Non-Conforming Students: Roadblocks and Support from a Student Affairs Perspective” on January 28, 2021 at the annual conference of the Ohio College Professionals Association.

Shay Valley will be presenting “Cultivating a Collaborative Scholarly Personal Narrative: Creating Qualitative Space in the Midst of Multi-Pandemics” on May 22, 2021 at the International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry with fellow ES students Chelsea Gilbert, Lisa Combs, Tessa Smith, and Spencer Smith, ES faculty member Dr. Penny Pasque, and T&L students Alexander Pittman, Maretha Dellarosa, and MJ Kim.

Noor Khalayleh will be presenting “The Importance of Belongingness Among Arab/Middle Eastern Students in American Higher Education: An Autoethnography” at the International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry.
