EHE GA Application Now Open

• Applications are due February 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.
• If you are a returning GA, you must submit a completed application. Renewal of contracts is not guaranteed for those who previously held positions.
• Academic performance, prior GA performance, availability of funds and need for services, student eligibility, and progress towards degree completion are all taken into consideration when determining position availability and assignment.
• Submission of an application does not guarantee that you will be offered a GA position.

Join the QualLab on January 18, 2024 for a dynamic lecture from Dr. Harper Keenan, the inaugural Robert Quartermain Professor of Gender and Sexuality in Education at the University of British Columbia. In this lecture, Dr. Keenan discusses the epistemological and pedagogical impacts of positioning trans people as unmanageable subjects within the context of K-12 schools in the United States. This talk invites participants to grapple with two central questions: How might educators and scholars embrace this unmanageability? What might it look like to practice civic education that resists rigidly scripting the world, including who children can be and become within it?
