I am currently working as a research assistant for Dr. Hamilton in the School of Environment and Natural Resources. I am also participating in the Second-Year Transformational Experience Program (STEP), which promotes original inquiry. My freshman year I was hired for an experimental dance performance at the Gunning House presented by the Beeler Gallery. In my Dance Film class freshman year, I created several original films and even submitted one to an international film festival.
I am required to take a few research methods classes for my majors which will focus the research process and how I can implement research within my majors. I am planning on participating in the Washington Academic Internship Program which serves as the research methods course for the Public Affairs major. I would like to continue dancing and creating films in new and original ways that challenge my creativity. I also want to continue serving as a research assistant and hope to present at a research conference and/or be published in an undergraduate research journal. I may also utilize my current research position to develop an undergraduate thesis.
