Welcome

Hello and welcome to the Early Childhood/Elementary Mathematics blog at The Ohio State University. This blog is meant as a space for faculty, graduate students, in-service teachers, and pre-service teachers associated with OSU to write about and reflect on issues involving how children learn mathematics and how to teach mathematics to children.

Sometimes, it serves as a place to document the learning happening in our EDUTL 5108 Teaching and Learning of Mathematics for Grades PreK-3 course. Sometimes, it is a place for us to reflect on findings from our research into children’s mathematical thinking. Sometimes, it’ll be just a place to vent about issues involved in mathematics education, particularly around issues of equity, empowerment, and access.
