On Sunday, November 18, a group of friends and I, including HES members Megan McCarthy, Jill Erml, and Rachel Roman, went to the AMC movie theater in the Lennox Town Center to see Bohemian Rhapsody. Overall, it was a great experience, we saw a great movie and had a great time. The part I enjoyed most was the movie. It was a biographical film about the life of rock legend, Freddy Mercury. I learned a lot of things I did not know about his band Queen, along with little-known facts about his personal and those around him. This movie also helped me discover some lesser-known Queen songs that I immediately added to my Spotify playlist. It also helped me explore my surroundings a little bit more. I had been to this theater before, however, this time I decided to take a different route that turned out to be a lot faster than the one I had taken previously. In conclusion, I had an awesome time with some awesome people seeing an awesome movie.

COLUMBUS TO DO LIST: Condado Tacos
This past Sunday, October 28th, 2018, my peer mentor group and I went to Condado Tacos in the Short North neighborhood of Columbus. It was amazing! Not only was it one of my first times using a COTA bus, it was also one of the first times I’ve been to the short north. The food at Condado was delicious. They are known for their build-your-own tacos experience, so of course I chose to do that and, to be honest, I couldn’t have made a better choice. I had to fill out a scantron sheet similar to the many I filled out in high school, except this time there were no wrong answers! I would definitely recommend! This experience really helped me get out of my comfort zone and get off campus. I learned that living in a big city isn’t as scary as it actually is. Columbus is absolutely beautiful. I also learned of some great new places to go to eat that aren’t just chain restaurants. For example, there’s Melt, a grilled cheese restaurant! I don’t know who ever thought of making a restaurant for grilled cheese, but whoever they are, they’re genius! Overall, the trip was an astounding success!
