COLUMBUS TO DO LIST: AMC Movies

On Sunday, November 18, a group of friends and I, including HES members Megan McCarthy, Jill Erml, and Rachel Roman, went to the AMC movie theater in the Lennox Town Center to see Bohemian Rhapsody. Overall, it was a great experience, we saw a great movie and had a great time. The part I enjoyed most was the movie. It was a biographical film about the life of rock legend, Freddy Mercury. I learned a lot of things I did not know about his band Queen, along with little-known facts about his personal and those around him. This movie also helped me discover some lesser-known Queen songs that I immediately added to my Spotify playlist. It also helped me explore my surroundings a little bit more. I had been to this theater before, however, this time I decided to take a different route that turned out to be a lot faster than the one I had taken previously. In conclusion, I had an awesome time with some awesome people seeing an awesome movie.

Ticket Wall

Another artifact that is very near and dear to my heart is the ticket wall in my room. This wall consists of all the tickets from all the football games that I have been to as an OSU student. These tickets are worth more to me than just the price of admission. Along with each ticket, there is a specific set of memories. Some of which I’ll never forget. An example of this is the ticket for the game against Oregon State, my first official Ohio State football game ever. I’ll never forget the first time doing Stadium Ohio, or the first of many OSU touchdowns that I witnessed with my own eyes, a two-yard pass from Dwayne Haskins to Terry McLaurin in the back of the south end zone. However, it’s not just what happens on the field that I remember the most, its what happens in the stands too. So many good times were spent with friends, talking, cheering, yelling, and of course singing this year. And I know there are many more to come, with one of the biggest being in a week and a half against that team up north. I absolutely cannot wait!
