Identify the intended audience for your game

 

Conduct interview #1 with a potential user PRIOR to development

  1. What are some games you have played recently?
    1. Dead by Daylight.
  2. What are some games you might enjoy playing on MATLAB?
    1. Connect 4.
  3. In your opinion what is the optimal length a game should take to play?
    1. 15-20 minutes.
  4. What aspects of a game make it enjoyable to you to play?
    1. Not to difficult, easy to understand, and fun.

Conduct interview #2 with a user after beta testing (must be different person than #1)

  1. What are some games you have played recently?
    1. Diablo, Minecraft, Call of Duty.
  2. What are some games you might enjoy playing on MATLAB?
    1. Tic Tac Toe, Connect 4.
  3. In your opinion what is the optimal length a game should take to play?
    1. 10-15 minutes.
  4. What aspects of a game make it enjoyable to you to play?
    1. A  good campaign/storyline or a game that is not hard to learn.
  5. When playing this game, which aspects did you enjoy?
    1. Mat-rim: I thought the storyline was cool, and I liked the choose your own adventure style.
    2. Connect 4: Connect 4 is always a classic and one of my favorite simple board games.
  6. When playing this game, what changes would you recommend?
    1. Mat-rim: Allow more user choice if possible.
    2. Connect 4: Maybe make the AI for Connect 4 a little harder.
