Thousands of visitors have been swarming in a national park called The Grand Tour, but that’s not all. The number of vehicles that they bring has been causing traffic in the park. In order to solve this problem, The Grand Tour is challenging a group of engineers to design and create a monorail-based vehicle that would transport its tourists around the park and have them enjoy the beautiful sceneries. There will be small inclines and the vehicle would have different stops along the way. The park also aims to have this vehicle energy efficient making it environment-friendly.
The Dunder Mifflin Engineering team has accepted the challenge and this portfolio showcases the hard work and perseverance of three individuals who came together to create the best vehicle the park could ever have.
The first station is the Hocking Hills, OH where the vehicle would start. Then the cart carrying the passengers would be picked up at the Grand Canyon, AZ. The vehicle with the cart attached to it would travel and make at stop at the Waves before it stops in Denali, AK. Then it would stop for 4 seconds at the 5-degree slope in Banff Historical Park, Canada. It would make another stop in Rocky Mountains, CO and a stop in Hocking Hills, OH before the cart is disengaged in Grand Canyon. After the cart is left, the vehicle returns to the first station.
