AEV Design

Design 1 – Initial

Initial: The initial AEV design features 2 propellers being spun by electric motors. One wheel is placed vertically from the center of the board (supporting the weight as a whole), while a second wheel is placed above above the heavier end of the AEV which holds the Arduino board. This helps stabalize the system as a whole.

Servo-attached V1: The servo was attached with tape, which has proven to be too loose during test runs. Team L will redesign the servo-attachment with to be more sturdy.

Servo-attached V2: The final AEV design mounted theĀ  servo by the use of duct tape, and proved to be sturdy enough to run with. In the previous designs, the servo wiggled around every time it activated, which was inconsistent. The servo arm is wrapped with a strip of rubber band to grab the wheel better.
