Advanced R&D Test 2

Goal: The second Performance Test added the additional complexity of meeting with the cargo without slamming too hard and moving in reverse.

Application:  The distance sensors were used to move the AEV into the current position and the AEV braked by reversing the propellers. The motor power was 32%.
Results: The AEV connected with the cargo and successfully reversed. Braking accurately required much trial and error on the coasting data, as well as the time of coasting. A more accurate method of braking needs to be established, to reach optimal performance.
