AEV Concept Sketches

A.The engines were designed to be closer to the center of mass, so the wings were swept upwards.

B.This design is flat and therefore offers stability and balance. Also the main weight of the AEV was placed in the middle to try and make sure it was not off balance.

Team Sketch:

C.This AEV was designed to be shorter and therefore distribute weight more equally to prevent it from tipping over. The battery was also placed sideways in order to distribute weight evenly and in the center. The wings were swept upwards to make the AEV more aerodynamic.

D. The design of this AEV was designed to effectively use costs of the structure but still allowing personal touches. The structure will have wings tilted up and sideways to be more aerodynamic. The base will be wide enough to allow stability and the skeleton of the AEV will mostly be used. Personal touches are the covers that surround the battery and control systems to ensure they are secured and these can be personally designed to help meet the customer’s satisfaction.

E. The design is meant to be cost effective and has a simple set-up for the user. The base is relatively stable with the battery placed underneath. The wings are designed to improve the weight load and resist drag to save energy.
