List a Job for OSU DPT graduates

The DPT Students from Ohio State are among the best in the nation. They graduate each year on the first Sunday in May. The majority sit for the NPTE at the end of April, though some wait until July in order to study. Our first time pass rate is 95%; ultimate pass rate is 100%. Our program has been ranked in the top 10 nationally since 2016 (currently 8th). The average incoming GPA of our admitted students exceeds 3.8 from their undergraduate studies. By graduation, students have completed 37 weeks of full time clinical education in four clinical education experiences. All complete at least one experience in acute care, outpatient musculoskeletal practice and rehabilitation. A fourth full time experience for 10 weeks allows them more time in their area of interest, and a 6 week leadership practicum at the end allows them to go beyond entry level. During the program, they will also have completed 3 part time integrated clinical experiences (MSK, Pediatrics, and Acute Care), and provided services at our pro bono clinic. We have a professional abilities development program, students attend a professional conference (usually CSM) during the program, all are APTA members, and our program provides extensive opportunities for teamwork and leadership. We offer specialization programs in pediatrics, global health, and research, and involve the students in multiple interprofessional experiences as well as community service. Our clinical instructors consistently tell us that DPT students from our program are clearly better prepared than the typical DPT student. Our graduates quickly rise into leadership roles in their careers.

Here, you can request a posting of a job that is available to our graduates as physical therapists. If you are interested in hiring one of our students while they are still enrolled in the program, there is a different process that requires the job to be posted on Handshake through OSU. See here for details.

The cost of a posting is $10 for a month, with a discount rate of $100 for a whole year. A certain number of postings are free for a year to sponsors of the Theraball (Bronze level required, higher levels get more listings), the annual fundraiser for our student club, with some proceeds going to the Foundation for Physical Therapy Research. We also offer one free three-month job posting for each slot a clinical partner has offered us during the current or previous year.  Even if we did not ultimately send a student to that site, the fact that the site offered one or more slots qualifies for the corresponding number of job postings.  If you want to qualify based on one of these opportunities before proceeding, please go the the Theraball Sponsorship site, or contact us at our clinical education email address to make arrangements to create a clinical education contract with our program.
