G.O.A.L.S.

As the world begins to become more and more interconnected due to the amazing advancements in technology, it is more and more important to become a globally literate citizen. In order to reach further towards this goal that I have for myself, I plan to delve into complex course work in foreign language and study in order to shape myself into a globally aware citizen. As I mentioned before, the world continues to have amazing advancements, not just in technology but in all areas including science, medicine, and many other areas. In order to stay as an academically accountable student, I feel that I should attempt to contribute to this original inquiry by engaging in research opportunities on campus and contributing my ideas to the conversations on campus. In order to further this idea of original inquiry I plan to attend graduate school to further the production of new knowledge in the world. In order to prepare myself for this type of schooling I plan to take rigorous coursework to academically enrich myself. I also feel that change is important in the world and change comes from leaders. In order to shape myself into a leader I plan to become engaged in the campus scene through work in clubs and research labs. As a Morril Scholar I feel it my duty to push forward social justice and serve my community. Through this program I will continue to serve my community to my best ability in hopes of bettering the lives of others.
