Following the interactive farm tour and the video above, each plant is harvested almost completely by hand to guarantee the product is kept safe. The fruit is collected on conveyor belts where it is then sent to quality control. Harvesters work long hard hours to harvest the fruit at the perfect time in order to ensure a quality product. After the fruit is cut down, workers have to do a quality control check and select which fruits meet the Dole standard.
